TERRIBLE TRAGEDY NEAR INGLEWOOD.
THREE PERSONS KILTED
An awful tragedy occurred last night at Kaimata, near Inglewood. A man named Julian bought out a settler named Virgin, and with his son, two daughters and a driver, arrived at the farm with his furniture.
Julian, his sou and the driver occupied one room last night, and the two daughters occupied another.
During the night a man attacked Julian and the driver and also one of the daughters. The house was also set on fire.
The son and youngest daughter escaped but Julian, his eldest daughter and the driver perished in the flames. The bodies have been found.
Virgin is believed to have committed the crime and no trace of him can be found.
The tragedy has caused a great sensation in the district.
