A meeting of supporters of Mr H. L. Michel and the Reform Government was held to night to receive lists and arrange the form of the presentation to be made to Mr Michel- There was a crowded attendance, and the proceedings were most enthusiastic. A sum of has been subscribed, which will be presented to Mr Michel at a Reform demonstration to be held next week. The date is to be arranged by the committee. The people by their solid practical enthusiasm are determined to suitably signify their approval of Mr Michel’s great courage. It was resolved by Use meeting to ask any member of the Government able to do so to attend.
