BOWLING CLUB SOCIAL.
The local Bowling Club’s euchre party and dance held in the Masonic Hall last night was a most successful function from every point of view. There was an attendance of about 100. The Hall was prettily decorated, the work of lady members of the Club. The first part of the evening was occupied with euchre, the prize winners being: Ladies, Mrs Meyer first, Miss B. Fraser second and Mrs Kellow, booby prize; gents, first Mr G. Whibley, second Mr W. Nye, booby Mr C. Edwards. After the euchre the Hall was cleared and dancing, to music supplied by Mr Berthold, was kept up until half past one this morning, Mr F. Woods officiating as M.C.
The refreshments were provided by the lady members of the Club, who together with the Committee and particularly the energetic secretary, Mr H. Witchell, worked hard to ensure the success of the function and have reason to feel proud of the result achieved.
