‘‘The committee have again the pleasure of presenting the annual statements of accounts, for the year ending July 31st, 1913. for the consideration of members, and in so doing have much pleasure in recording a very successful year. The receipts from all sources, excluding the balance of ,£325 3s 2d carried forward from last year, amount to 17s rod, as against ,£3248 18s nd last year, an increase of ,£428 18s nd. During the year several improvements and additions were made to the course. The tea kiosk was finished and, put in up-to-date order, costing 2s rod. The saddling paddock was shifted under the trees to the west and galvanised iron fence erected all round the back of it and right up to the totalisator house ; the old saddling paddock being made into a reserve for the public with a picket fence in front, and the hill in front of the kiosk levelled off; this was found necessary to cope with the extra attendance at the meeting. A new horse enclosure and a new number board were erected in the centre of the course, and wells were dug and fitted with iron tubes and pumps for the purpose of getting water for the horses and in case of fire. In conclusion the committee have to thank all officials for their efforts in bringing the Club still further ahead in its position. The whole of the commute retire, but are eligible for re-election.” —W. E. Barber, Chairman ; W. Gray, Secretary.
