HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT.
The High Commissioner cabled at noon yesterday as follows : The hemp market is quiet but steady. There is an increasing demand for better grades. The Manila and New Zealand markets are firmer. Good fair, £29 ('nominal); fair, £2415s ; Manila, V 29 1 os. Forward shipment, good Sir, £29 10s ; fair, £2 5 ; Manila, r 2Q ios. The output of Manila fat the week was 19,000 bales.
