PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

The quarterly meeting of the district committee of the Foxtou charge of the Presbyterian Church was held at Tiakitahuna on Monday. The Rev J. M. Thomson M.A. (moderator) presided and there were also present Messrs MoCully, Hornblovv, Henderson, Speirs, Mathesou and Richardson. The financial position was the healthiest so tar disclosed. Mr Matheson was elected, treasurer and an appreciation of the work of the late treasurer (Mr Gibbs) was ordered to be minuted. Mr Richardson (Tiakitahuna) was reelected secretary. Mr Pearson (Foxtou) was appointed auditor. A motion of sympathy with the widow and family of the late Mr J. Tennant (a former member of rhe committee) was carried in the customary manner. It was decided to transfer the banking account from Foxtou to Palmerston. Other business was transacted after which the delegates were entertained at luncheon by Mesdames McCully, M. Richardson and Miss Matheson.
