BURGLARY.

AT THE CASH TRADING

STORES.

The business premises of Messrs Bauckham and Charles were burglariously entered either on Saturday or Sunday nights and a quantity of tobacco and a doublebarrelled gun stolen. The object of the visit was, no doubt, to capture Saturday night’s takings, as the office at the rear of the shop was entered and the roll-top desk forced open and the drawer rifled. Fortunately Mr Bauckham removed tire cash on Saturday night. Beside the desk, on a chair, were two large knives and a clipping machine used for prizing the desk open. This is the second time these premises have been entered.
