A FATAL QUARREL.

Hokitika, July 7, A fatality occurred at Harihari, South Westland, yesterday morning, whereby Ronald Adamson, aged thirty, son of Hugh Adamson, of Greymouth, lost his life. As the result of a quarrel on Friday night, deceased and Samuel Godfrey, aged about 25, had a stand-up fight on Sunday. Adamson was knocked down, and it is supposed he struck his head on a stone causing unconsciousness. He did not recover consciousness, and when the doctor arrived from Ross he declared Adamson had been dead for some hours. The police have gone down to investigate.
