MUNICIPAL PICTURES

To-morrow night's programme is .brifn-full 61 attractions. There are two star films, the “Tollgate Raiders,” a fine* powerful Kalem drama that makes the pulses tingle as the plot is unfolded, but 'the chief interest will be centred in the Cines star drama, “His Brother's Crime.” Two brothers, one a ne’er-do-well, the other a 1 butler in a wealthy family, are both in love with the same girl. She is carried away by the showy manner of George, but mother will not consent till he is in a position to marry. He breaks into the villa where Harry is butler, and gets away with the , goods. Harry, coming on the .scene just after, is charged with the crime, and is sentenced to a terra of imprisonment. There are dramatic scenes throughout, especially those showing the convict prison, Harry’s dash for liberty from a train travelling at express speed, the help received from a friendly blacksmith, the meeting of the brothers, George’s confession, and the marriage of Harry and Ethel. “The Ranch Girl’s Trial” depicts the tangle of four lovers, and shows how a trial for a girl’s life can end in a happy marriage, all in the Courthouse. No one should miss seeing the trek comedy entitled, “Boxambpler Gloves,” ’tis full of surprises. “Work in a Telegraph Department” gives one an insight into the inner working of one of our great national industries. “Picturesque Dalmatia’. provides some beautiful scenery for the lovers of beauty in nature. “Michael Dyer” is another drama of more than average merit, and fun galore is provided in “High Tide” and “FunniCusahd his Porter.” Now, don’t forget, you can only see the above programme at the MUNICIPAL PICTURES.

HAYWARD’S PICTURES.

The pictures to be screened Haywards to-morrow night include films by Pathe, Vitagraph, Flying A., Comica, Cosmopolitan, Edison and other good makers. Four dramas, will be shown, “ The Wood Violet ” depicts Olympia, the wood violet, born and brought up in the midst of nature. Marvin Bees is on a hunting trip in the mountains. He falls in love with Olympia. She promises to marry him. In after years they are wedded, and he establishes her in a beautiful mausiou, but she pines for the woods. Her husband noticing this takes her back and builds a lodge on the lake, where they live in happiness ever after. , “ Leoine,” is a story of the love of.the model Leoins for the Artist. He is,infatuated with the lady fa r above his station. Evidently his eyes are open to the fact that he is being played with by the girl he fancies he loves. He returns to bis studies and a charming picture ends with the artist and model united.

“ Buffalo hunting in CochinChina ” and- “ Londpn Traffic ” are twb films of educational value, and' should prove particularly interesting. “ Curious Companions ” and some good comedies and comics make up a really first-class programme.
