HAYWARD’S. PICTURES.
Picture patrons should not miss “ Greed for Geld ” which will be screened at Hayward’s on Monday night. It is a Pathe coloured drama of absorbing interest depicting a powerful story of frenzied finance, romantically portrayed and brilliantly acted. It shows the bankrupt man refused assistance by his father-in-law and the wife’s appeal to her father in vain. The son-in-law has a devilish inspiration, but he is forestalled by a visitation of Providence. After the banker’s death, the son-in-law is installed in his shoes, and in his greed for gold he is shown deceiving a gullible public. It shows him on the pinnacle of popularity tUiU then the turn downwards and the exposure with a powerful thrilling finale. “The Red Barrier,’’ by the Vitagraph Company is also a fine drama well worth seeing. On Monday night also the audience will be afforded an opportunity of renewing their acquaintance with that popular comedy actor, John Bunny, who will appear in “ Bachelor's Buttons.”
