The Manawatu Herald. Thursday, June sth., 19 13. NOTES AND COMMENTS.
Mr Stanseu. sear., is interesting himselt on behalf of the railway travelling public in respect to petitioning the Minister for Railways to have all trains running as far as and beyond Palmerston North, start from the Eambton ‘ station and to deposit passengers from this district at the same station. Such alteration would be greatly appreciated by hundreds of the travelling public, who are at present greatly inconvenienced by the present arrangements. The petition is being signed by representative men in Palmerston, Feilding and towns along this coast and in Wellington, and will have the hearty support of all the M’s.P. in the province. Mr Stansell deserves the thanks of the public for the interest he is displaying in the matter, and we sincerely hope the Minister will grant the prayer of the petitioners.
