THE REVIEW OF REVIEWS.

The May Review of Reviews contains many topical and interesting articles, in addition to its usual comprehensive features. It is particularly well illustrated with remarkable drawings and photographs. Mr Henry Stead contributes the first of a series of intimate papers upon his father, W. T. Stead. All who admired the great journalist will be sure to want this number. “Can She Get In?” is the title of a striking article upon the probability that our new flagship will be unable to enter some of our largest harbours. The difficulties the New Zealand encountered on her visit to Australia are recounted. Britain’s defenceless condition against aerial attack is the subject of an article by Major Baden-Powell, one of the first aerial experts in the world, and brother to the General of Boy Scout fame. Mr Gardiner’s sketch of the King of Bulgaria shows that monarch in his true light as an unscrupulous schemer, whose ambition is only equalled by his vanity. Mr Stead’s written record of his interview with the Sultan of Turkey is given in full. A special article tells of the origin of the difficulties between Great Britain and the U.S.A. over the Panama Canal. Altogether a most excellent number. On sale at all local news agents, 6d.
