. Juniors. Shannon (6) v. Foxton (3). Tokomaru (14) v; Hui Mai (o). Weraroafs) v. Tainui (0).
FOXTON v: HUI MAI. This match was played on the local racecourse before a good crowd of spectators. The game was an interesting one throughout, Foxton, if anything, having slightly the better of it. The local pack were superior to their opponents forwards, but in back play Hui Mai showed to much better advantage. The tackling of the Foxton men was very weak indeed- Foxton’s score was a; try gained by Peri in the first spell, and about the middle of the second half Hui Mai equalised matters by a penalty goal. Mr Cleland controlled the game.
SHANNON v. FOXTON.
This match was also played Oil the racecourse and was fairly evenly contested resulting in a win for the visitors by 6 points (2 tries) to 3(a penalty goal). Mr Desmond was referee.
