NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW, 1913.

Advices from Palmerston North state that his Excellency the Governor has consented to open the recent additions to the Exhibition Buildings at the same time as he opens the Show. Arrangements are well forward, and space applications up to date exceed the amount available. It is pleasing to note that several of our leading dairy machinery brokers, who for several years past have abstained from exhibiting, have again decided to be represented at this important fixture. The Wanganui-Te Aute College matches are alotted to Wednesday, ißth June —second day, as usual. Thursday aiternoon is reserved for the Collinson Cup, maiden hunters, push-ball, and tug-of-war competitions, and on Friday the “soccer” teams from Wellington and Palmerston North will meet to try conclusions.

The junior element will be catered for by a good assortment of side shows. Palmerston North is going to be a very full town during Show week, as eight of the Breeders’ Associations have signified their intention of bolding meetings at that time, as well as the National Dairy Association and N.Z. Dairy Factory Managers’ Conferences.

It is probable that an officer of the Department of Agriculture will give apple grading demonstrations during the progress of the Show.
