ENTERTAINMENTS.

PICTURE SHOW,

The principal film in this programme is a fine drama “Lieutenant and The Tram Wreckers.” Lieutenant Rose, ttre famous naval officer, is handed a confidential letter with instructions to deliver it to the commander ot a battleship lying in a neighbouring port. A series of most exciting scenes show the trouble he had with spies. His escape is accomplished by disconnecting the couplings while the train is running full speed, and after severe struggles he delivers his papers to his superiors. A thrilling series of railroad and open sea pictures never before accomplished on such a realistic scale.

Some fine views of our magnificent warship, H.M.S. New Zealand will be shown, and people should take this opportunity of seeing the country’s gift, this latest addition to the Imperial Navy of a first class battle cruiser, built with all the most modern machinery, all of which is practically driven by electricity, with the exception of her tremendous turbines, 44,000 horse power, and 30 knots an hour, she is easily the fastest battleship in the world. We might also mention she is without exception the greatest ship that has ever crossed the line. Numerous other fine films include the “ Needle Industry,” an industrial that is sure to please the ladies, “ The Wreck of The Veronese” and many others.
