DETERMINED TO DIE.
Gisborne, March 28.
A man known as “Scotty'’ attempted to commit suicide by cutting his throat at Pakarae last night. While being brought to town by a waggou to-day he jumped over the Tapuae bridge into the sea and was drowned. His attendant made a brave effort to save him.
