A MARRIED WOMAN’S FOLLY.

Auckland, March 18

A woman known as May Russell, who admitted having attempted to commit suicide, was in the Police Court this morning.

It was stated she was a married woman named Jones. She followed a cowboy belonging to a circus from Nelson, and put up at an hotel where the circus employees wers staying. The man with whom she was infatuated, however, avoided her.

She was. found unconscious in a passage and removed to the hospital. She had a return ticket to Nelson, and in the Court expressed a desire to return to her children whom she had left in the the care of a friend. She was convicted and ordered to appear for sentence when called on.
