The many friends of Mrs Monyhan will be pleased to know that she is on the road to recovery after a very severe illness.
The Catholic Bazaar was brought to a close on Monday evening with a very successful social and dance. Fully fifty couples danced to delighttul music supplied by Mrs Buttler, while Mr E. J. King acted as M.C. Mr Perry was in charge of the stage, which was beautifully decorated with evergreens and hemp from Marauui and Whitaunui flaxmills. The following contributed items during the evening: Mrs Costello, Hector McDonald, Mr Thompson, Mrs Costello (by special request), Mr B. Hooker. Mrs Wiggins was the fortunate holder of the winning ticket for the beautiful wardrobe. During the evening a number of articles were disposed of by Dutch auction, Mr E. J. King acting as auctioneer.
