The Manawatu Herald. Tuesday, February 25, 1913. MUNICIPAL EJECTIONS.
The Municipal and Mayoral elections take place in April next, and a good deal of interest is already being evinced locally in them. 'We are informed that a Labour and Socialist ticket will be nominated, and that the rolls are being scrutinised in order to
see that those entitled to a vote are not disfranchised. It is a healthy sign to see such interest manifested, and it does not matter what section of the community does the stirring up, so dong as the objective is the progress of the borough and the welfare of the people.
