ENTERTAINMENTS.

PICTURE SHOW

To-morrow night there will be presented two powerful pictures, “The Power of Love’’ (2542 feet), and “The Harvest of Sin’’ (1250 feet). “The Harvest of Sin” is a sensational British drama, illustrating the final chapter of a gambler’s life. The topical film of the Balkan War crisis should prove a most interesting subject. Two other instructive films are, “Building an Elephant Dam,” and “Arabian Trades and Industries.” 1 “The Bargee’s Revenge” is the tale of the keeper of the sluice gates, who was tied to the gates and left to a hideous death. A “Gaumont Graphic” will be shown, containing snap-shots of the recent events in different countries. “Holding the Fort ’is a comedy of unusual merit; a newly married couple are anxious uot to be recognised as bride and bridegroom, so arrive separately at an hotel; the groom reserves a room, and leaves for a little while, and in the meantime, through a mistake, au elderly spinster is given the same room ; nothing in the world can move her—then the fun begins. “The Queen of the Kitchen”: Bridget, the cook, objects to the invasion of her sanctum by Mr Clarke, her employer, and the disturbance she causes results in her dismissal; husband and wife try to prepare the meal, but like the proverbial newly-weds, make a mess of it.
