METHODIST CONFERENCE.

The twentieth annual conference of the New Zealand Primitive Methodists opened to-day. It s the last to be held before union with the Wesleyan Methodist Church is consummated. Hon. C. M. Luke was elected president and Rev C. E. Ward vice-presi-dent. When Mr Luke was being welcomed the outgoing president indicated that Mr Luke would probably be elected the first vicepresident of the United Conference.
