PICTURE SHOW
Two striking films will be produced to-morrow night. One is a thrilling and sensational coloured drama entitled, “A Lion Let Loose.” When the great film, ‘‘Attacked by a Lion,” was produced, the general impression was that the limit had been reached in realism as far as cinematography was concerned, but we have reason to believe that that limit has been passed, and in placing “A Lion Let Loose” on the programme, we do so with confidence that it will be judged the greatest film ever produced. The other striking film on this programme is ‘‘Missionaries in Darkest Africa.” This extraordinary production was made in Africa by the Kale.m Company, under the personal direction of Sid Olcott. Ihree Kalem players portray che leading parts, and all the tribesmen shown m the ret is re ate natives of Africa. -’his photo-play is of special interest,-as it -is the first on- ever made in the heart of A. rica. Some other very interesting films will be screened, including : “Customs of the Far East” ; a study entitled “Rose, Queen of Flowers”; a “Pathe Gazette,’? which, as usual, will be brimming with interest; “The Littte Sheriff,” a sensational drama, iti which a clever little pantomimist plays the leading role. A number of A.I. comedies here and there in the programme are calculated to keep everyone happy.
