[Contributed.]
The late Mrs Page was known by those who came in contact with her as a woman of saintly character. Her religion was that of the Church of England, and the Prayer Bcok was her constant companion. With her husband she attended All Saints’ every Sunday morning and always made her Communion once a month at least. In her younger days she was the “mother” of the neighbourhood where she lived—young and old came to her with their difficulties, and they always left her feeling the load lighter, and in many cases taken away altogether. Although she reached the age of 77, the wear of life never rubbed off the bloom of childlike happiness. She went on bravely doing her daily duties aud never lost sight of the' sunshine even when at times the gloom was thick. During her ' four months’ illness she showed wonderful patience, bearing every - pain, in that beautiful faith that her Heavenly Father knew what . was best. He husband says “she'. WaS ,j lle Jjest wives” and she would say “he was the best of ' husbands, and so these two lived for many years in the happiness of wedded love. And they are ■ separated just for a little season, and then reunion in that deathless land where there will be no more - parting aud no more sorrow.
