COCHRAN—HUGHES.

A quiet wedding was celebrated at the residence of the bride’s parents yesterday, by the Rev. J. M. Thomson, m.a., when Ivy, fourth daughter of Mr and Mrs G. Hughes, of Foxton, was united to Mr Robert Cochran, of Foxton, The bride was attired iu a white embroidered muslin dress and wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms. She was attended by her sister, Ruby, as bridesmaid, who was dressed in white muslin and carried a bouquet of sweet peas. Mr G. Hughes, brother of the bride, officiated as best man. The bride’s gut to the bridegroom was a set of ebony ana stiver brushes, and the bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a gcG bangle and to the bridesmaid a gold brooch. The happy cou A e were the recipients of numerous;' rest jl.-> including several cheques, i ney left by the afternoon train for the North, where the honeymoon is to be spent; the bride’s travelling dress being a blue serge costume aud black hat with plumes.
