PICTURE SHOW.
There is a very special programme for Boxing Night. One of the finest star dramas will be presented, “ The Colleen Bawn.” This film has gained the greatest praise aud admiration in all the centres. The scenery aud mounting of the piece leaves nothing to be desired. The film was ptoduced in the most picturesque part of Ireland. The programme also contains a full series of other films, comprising scenics, interest, dramas and comics. “ The Adventures of American Joe ” is the story of a daring young American and a privateer Irom Buenos Aires. “ Winter Logging in Maine, U.S.A.” In America the supply of lumber is being so rapidly exhausted that this film will give the spectator au accurate description of an industry that will probably be but a memory before many years have passed. The film abounds in interesting scenes and beautiful photoplay bound to please the most critical spectator. The comedies are a splendid lot. “ What the Doctor Ordered,” is a comedy of sunny California. Jenks is a hypochondriac ot the extreme type. Here he is at his villa, surrounded by flowers, gardens aud orange groves. One would imagine that such a paradise would induce health aud contentment in the most abject gloom, but no, he believes that he has one foot in the grave, with the other one on slippery ground. The next hour he knows is to be his last, hence, to humour him, his doctor orders him to the mountains. His experiences there make him glad to return to the flowers.
