Ivy Beatrice Pearce, aged 10 years, daughter of John I‘. Pearce, railway guard, of Cavershara, died at her parents’ residence last night under circumstances pointing to ptomaine poisoning. The father and four children were taken ill simultaneously, and the youngest child was in a very low state for a time, hut is now improving. At the inquest, a verdict was returned that death was due to ptomaine poisoning as a result of eating decomposed rabbit.
