MYSTERIOUS OCCURRENCE.
Adelaide, Decmbeer 3. _ After a loud explosion in Flinders Street, two men were seen running away, aud a third man was found with his hand blown off and bis face injured. The two men who had fled subsequently visited the Police Station and gave their names as Clarke aud Cheape. They stated that Keys had accussed Cheape of familiarities with his wife, a charge which was absolutely groundless. Keys was extremely jealous, aud after a little conversation he had remarked: “Now I will settle it!” He then struck a match, and Glance aud Cheape, becoming alarmed, ran. They had only gone a few yards when the explosion occurred. A parcel of dynamite was found adjacent to the spot. Keys, when assisted after the explosion, moaned : “ They tried to murder me,” but efforts to extract something further were fruitless. His condition is criticial.
