SHIPPING DELAY.

At last night’s meeting of the Palmerston N. Chamber of Commerce, Mr G. H. Bennett brought up the matter of the delay in obtaining goods from Auckland via Wellington and Foxtou. He said he had eroods that had been nearly three weeks ou the way, and were not here yet. Mr M. A. Eliott said business people generally allowed fourteen days between Christchurch and Palmerston via Foxton. Some blamed delay in non-shipment at Wellington and some a shortage of trucks at Foxtou. It was resolved to draw the attention to the Foxton Harbour Board to the matter,
