THE DEADLY PEA-RIFLE.
Another instance of the clanger of allowing boys to use pea-rifles was afforded at Himatangi on Sunday morning. Two boys, sons of Mr Groom, aged 11 and nine years respectively, were out rabbit shooting, when by some means the pea rifle in the possession of the eider boy went off, the younger boy receiving the bullet in the biceps of his arm. Ihe boy wasbrought into Foxton for medical attention and is now progressing satisfactorily.
