PICTURE SHOW
Great attraction at the Picture Show to morrow night, when the greatest war picture ever imported into New Zealand will be shown. ' ‘The Siege of Petersburg; ” a rousing two-reel tale of love and war. Another intensely interesting drama is “Fate’s Warning.” Until the last clock ticks away the last hour, to morrow is the only thing that is really eternal. If we could read the message of the unborn years, many a sob of the soul, many a bitter throb of the heart would be saved. This is just what happens in this story. Also “The Narrow Road;” it may seem hard travelling, but it is the safest. One of the scenics entitled “Dalecarlia, ” is a beautiful series of views of the snow-bound Swedish country-side. Probably the most striking scenes are those of the frozen waterfalls. The masses of frozen water have a most extraordinary appearance—where there is usually a mass of rushing water, there is now to all appearance a series of rugged rocks. Other films are “Pirate’s Rock,” a drama of the sea. “Studies in Acquatic Fife,” natural history. The ‘ ‘ Pathe Gazette*’ is right up-to date with snap shots of the* doings of the day. The comedies are “Dupin’s Picnic,” “Tweedledum Insures his Fife” and “His Fittle Sister,” a good lot and each is bound to raise a hearty laugh. A good all-round programme headed by the “Siege of Petersburg,” a tale of the last stand of the Southern States of America.
