Wellington, November 27. The High Commissioner’s cable dated London, November 26, states that the wool sales commenced with great competition. The market advanced id per lb average for all grades. The market look's very strong, there a number of buyers at the higher price, trade is good, and the demand greater than the supply. Present prospects indicate a continuance of high prices lor some time. 18,500 bales of New Zealand wools are catalogued.
