BENEFIT ENTERTAINMENT.
MONDAY NIGHT. We wish to draw our readers attention to the Eacey Benefit at the Coronation Hall on Monday next. This function will be carried out almost free of expense. The films have been kindly lent by John Fuller and Sons, of Wellington, free of charge. The Borough Council generously handed back the charge for the hall as a donation to the fund. Mr Fraser, the manager, has done all that he possibly could to assist on the entertainment, in fact, no one who has been asked to assist in any way has refused, and many have helped very generously without being asked. The programme is a specially selected one and the singers are the very best local talent. The full programme is advertised in our advertising columns. The band, under the baton of Mr Colder, has kindly consented to give selections in front of the hall before the entertainment starts. The orchestra has been strengthened for the occasion. Patrons are kindly asked to sit close together so as to give everyone a chance of a seat. Reserved seats may be booked at the office of the Town Clerk without extra charge on presenting their tickets or the cash. A crowded house is expected. Doors open 7.15 p.m. sharp.
