MOUTOA DRAINAGE BOARD.

The first meeting of newlyelected trustees was held last evening. The Returning Officer reported the election of Messrs W. E. Barber, F. S. Easton, H. G. Hammond, B. G. Gower, and O. R. Robinson. Mr Gower was re-elected chairman.

The clerk reported credits to loan account ol ,£lB6 14s and to general account of 8s yd.

Accounts totalling £26 12s 3d against loan account and ,£l4 9 s were passed lor payment. The overseer reported o>4 chains of drain completed, leaving about 12 chains to complete, and that owing to floods the dredge had not been worked for eleven days. Rates outstanding were reported at ,£B2 16s 5d less than .£73 6s lod received since the statement was written.
