ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION.
Christchurch, Oct. 31
Commander Evans, of the British Antarctic expedition, in the course of au interview, states that all relief stores to be taken south are being sent out by the New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamers, due here in Lyttelton on or about the end of November. The Terra Nova will take a full year’s stores and supplies in case she is detained in the Antarctic, The actual date of sailing from Lyttelton will depend on arrangements to be made by Lieut. Pennell and Mr W. G. Lillie, regarding some important biological work which has been planned. Iu all probability the Terra Nova will return to New Zealand, and be back in Lyttelton by the end of March next year.
