TERRITORIALS STRIKE.

Invercargill, October 17

The Bluff Territorials went out on strike last night, and only some three or four put in an appearance at parade in uniform. The majority o*f the others were present in mufti, but they declined to drill.

They served an ultimatum on their officer stating that they refused to take any further part in the movement until such time as officer commanding the Southland District prosecuted those who persistently reiused to attend parade. It appears that the position at Bluff has been that shirkers have not only reiused themselves, but have taunted to exasperation those who have attended. The strikers are determined not to attend another parade until the shirkers are brought before the magistrate and dealt with as the law provides.
