OBITUARY.
MR. W. LACEY, AGED 34
We regret to record the death of Mr W. Lacey, a resident of Foxton for a number ot years past, which look place at the Palmerston North Hospital on Saturday alternoou. The deceased was one of the lour patients suffering from typhoid lever, and he had been an inmate ol the hospital for some weeks. On account of other complications his case was ot a ven serious nature, being practically hopeless from the first. The deceased, who was only 34 years of age, leaves a widow and three children to mourn their loss, and tor whom much sympathy is expressed throughout the district. The deceased was an office bearer of the local branch 01 the Oddfellows’ Lodge. The luueral, which was largely attended, look place yesterday afternoon, the cortege leaviug Horn outside Ail Saints' Church. Tue members ot the Oddiellows’ Lodge attended in mourning. The last rites at the graveside were performed by the Rev G. Y. Woodward.
