The High Commissioner cabled yesterday afternoon as follows : The hemp market is firm, prices continue to advance. Reported that American buyers are operating for rise in Manila, buyers are fearing an advance and are buying freely. Spot good fair, ; fair, £27 10s ; Manila, ; JanuaryMarch good fair, ,£29 ros; fair, 26,000 bales.
