A SCHOOL GIRL’S ADVENTURE.
STUCK UP BY A NUDE MAN,
The Feilding Star reports that a Fordell school girl, on her way home from the Marton school last Friday, on horse-back, when passing a gravel pit, saw a bundle of clothes on the roadside, and on turning a bend in the road, a perj fectly nude man, who had a handkerchief tied over his nose, mouth and chin, rushed out, and caught hold of the bridle ot the pony with one hand. With the other he attempted to pull her off. The pony is a very spirited one, and it is surmised that the cries of the girl caused it to play up, and in so doing got away. The girl cannot give any very clear account of what took place, except that when the pony got tree she galloped to her home. There she was so overcome that it was with difficulty the parents could get an outline of what had taken place. The police are investigating.
