PICTURE SHOW

Have you seen the programme for Saturday night, its a real top notcher. Some of the films are ; a Biograph drama, “The Old Actor,’’ truly one of the old school, the poor old man going to the theatre lur a rehearsal in high hopes, only to be thrown into the depths ol despair by being told be is too old. Downcast, he leaves lor his little home, the upkeep of which depends on his efforts. Not having the courage to tell them he has failed, he strives to earn a living in a new way, as the film will show. “Honour and The Sword,” is a stirring story or how a girl conquered a mau at his own game. Two other very fine dramas are “ For the Cause of the South” (Kdison), and “The Ones Who Suffer ” (Selig). “ Hypnotic Nell,” is a lively comedy ot a resourceful girl. Bashful Bill is iu love with Nell, and while she offers him every encouragement, he is afraid to ask the eternal question. Nell seeing an advertisement of a hypnotist becomes a student and soon is able to place the cook and other unfortunates under her spell, and what happens makes a good lively picture. “ When the Fire Bells Rang.” This is a story of two brothers, one a member of the village fire brigade, the other the property man at the “ Opry House,” for a travelling company. Props engages the members of the fire company, who are rehearsed and dressed in Roman costume, livery thing goes fine until the ficebells ring out an alarm, then, well, the trouble begins.
