The annual general meeting of the Foxton Dawn Tennis Club will be held in the Council Chamber on Tuesday evening next. Messrs W. Toogood and Son, of Featherston, advertise for a competent flaxmill manager, to run their Gladstone mill, either on salary or contract.
Mr H. C. Easton, having disposed of his butchery business, requests an early settlement of accounts due to him, which may be paid to either Mr F. D. Whibley or Mr 0. F. Cook, whose receipt will be a sufficient discharge. Mr 0. F. Cook, family butcher, notifies that his hawking cart will be stationed at Collins’ corner every Saturday night, from 7 o’clock till 9, where customers will be supplied with the best quality meat only, and at the lowest possible prices. A trial is solicited.
