THE CANDIDATES
The nomination of candidates for the Egmont seat, consequent ou tae resignation ol the Hon. T. Mackenzie, closed at EUham at noon on Saturday. Mr Astbury was nominated by Amelia Julia Corbett, F, W. Toms, John Walsh, A. McKeown, and J. B. Harrop. Mr Wilkson’s nominators were ; George Cobblestone, G. H. Buckeridge, M. A. O’Shea, J. T. Quin, G. Preece, C. C. Kelland, and Wm. Ruxton. The poll will be taken on Tuesday, September 17th.
