TOWN CLERK’S REPORT.

The Town Clerk submitted the following report on the workings of the borough for the past month at last night’s Council meeting ;

“The roadmen have been engaged during the past month in spreading and breaking metal on Main Street, cleaning out cuttings in Johnston street, and covering same with scrub, and erecting fences round the base. The men have also erected an iron fence at the rear of the Town Hall, mown the grass in the Triangle, and cleaned out the gutters in the Main Street.

“The electric light, authorised at the last meeting of the Council, for the Town Hall, has now been installed, and is a great improvement and advantage in working the picture shows, which continue to be well patronised.”
