SEQUEL TO KIDNAPPING CASE.

Auckland, August 24. Judgment was delivered by Mr Justice Cooper, in the Supreme Court to-day in a case in which Soreu Marius Mikklsen was charged with kidnapping his child - while she was in the care of the mother. Mr Justice Sim convicted Mikklsen of kidnapping, but postponed sentence, as the Appeal Court had to decide a legal point. This morning Mr Justice Cooper announced that the higher court had upheld Mr Justice Sim s decision. Although the offence v\as a criminal one, it had to be taken into consideration that Mikklsen was the father of the child. The needs of the case would be met by a heavy fine, and a penalty oi would be inflicted.
