CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER.

Hamilton, Hast Night,

Kenneth Moore was charged at the Police Court to-day with manslaughter of a Native, Abraham Ngihiwi, through a bare-kuuckle fight at Taupiri on the 28th ult; also with having taken part in a prize fight. Evidence was substantially the same as at the inquest. Accused pleaded not guilty, and reserved his defence, and was committed tor trial. Bail was allowed, the Justice remarking that he did not look upon the case as a serious one, the accused being more unlucky than anything else.
