ENTERTAINMENTS.

PICTURE SHOW

Tremendous attraction for tomorrow night. Two great star films, “ Arrah Na Pogue,’’ also

“ The Victoria Cross. “ Arrah Na Pogue ” is a wonderfully staged Irish romance produced by the Kalem Company, and is over 3000 feet long. It is not possible for anyone to see this film and go away disappointed —full of Irish wit, beauty, and at times most pathetic, it will long be remembered by all who see it. “The Victoria Cross,’’ or “The Charge of the Eight Brigade” ; the heroism of a young officer, the winning of his spurs and the commanding officer’s daughter, and his decoration by Queen Victoria with the Victoria Cross for distinguished bravery, gives us a thrilling story which must inspire every British heart. The Vitagraph Company, of America, have introduced and reproduced this stirring event in accordance with the poetic and artistic grandeur of the famous poem by Tennyson. “ Eittle Maids ot China and Japan ” : In this film vVe get interesting glimpses ot the maids of the East. They appear in various phases of life, fancifully dressed, singing and dancing, etc., but always subtly smiling. There are many other films, but space does not permit us to enumerate them here, sceuics, comedies, comics, etc.
