GREViMOUTH, July 18. Phillip Finlay, a young married man, with four of a family, who had been engaged at the Stale Coal mine, was struck by a fall of coal and timber on Tuesday night, and died at the hospital to-day, without regaining consciousness. Eketahuna, July iS. A middle-aged man named Richardson, employed at Nga Rata, Alfredton, has been missing since Saturday. He left Allredton that night to return home, and on Sunday morning his horse was iound on the road. Search parties have been out without success. Thames, July xB. The body of a man was discovered among the mangroves on the beach between the Waitakaruru and Piako rivers. It is believed to be that of John Phillips, who has been missing for about three weeks, and who, it is believed, fell into the Kauaerangi river.
