PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

The quarterly district committee meeting of the above church was held yesterday, at Tiakitahuua. Presentßev. A. M. Thomson, m.a. (Moderator), Messrs Gibbs, Hornblow and A. Speirs (Foxton), Wilton (Rangiotu), Costall (Glen Oroua), McCully, Matheson, Buchanan and Richardson (Tiakitahuua). The quarterly balance-sheet was submitted, discussed and adopted. The Foxton committee were authorised to transfer the section at the Beach. The sub-committee reported having purchased a motor bicycle for the use of the minister at a cost of ios, upon which there was a deficit of £2\ to the general tund. It was decided to liquidate this by special effort. It was reported that one of the horses had been sold, and another was under offer. The reports from the various centres were considered very satisfactory, .It was decided to ask the Presbytery to apply lor the church extension grant withheld during the time the charge, was without a settled minister. Other mattgrs of importance were discussed, and the meeting rose. The delegates were hospitably entertained at lunch by the ladies connected with the Tiakitahuua centre.

The next quarterly meeting will be held at Foxton.
