THE PASSING OF A HERO.

Tire funeral of the late FieldMaishal George Stuart White, the hero ot Ladysmitn, look place in London on Sunday, and was very impressive.

Lord Roberts represented the King, while Queen Alexandra, the Kaiser, and many other Royalties were represented. The pall bearers included Lord Duudonald, General lan Hamilton, General Hunter, General Grentell, P'ield Marshall Flvelyn Wood and Lord Methuen. The route was lined with thousands of troops and great crowds of people, and many heartrending scenes were witnessed, especially amongst the ranks of those troops who fought under the gallant General at the famous seige of Ladysmith.

The coffin was covered with beautiful wreaths, including those from Queen Alexandra, the Kaiser and the defenders of Ladysmith.
