The Australians sustained their second defeat of the present tour in the Lancashire match, the county team winning by the narrow margin of 24 runs. Lancashire scored 146 and 188 to Australia’s 177 and 133. The 1909 Australian team also played a very close game with Lancashire, the result being a win for the visitors by 47 runs. The scores on that occasion were: Australia 87 and 214, Lancashire 104 and 150.
