RIFLE SHOOTING.
e Some delay has occurred in publishing the scores of the last two shoots owing to a prorest having been lodged. The following are the scores of the 7th and Bth shoots for the Adams-Nye trophies: —■ SEVENTH.
The following is the final result of the competition, six out of eight shoots to count ;—-J. Gillespie, 536 ; C. Rand, 535 ; R- Rand, 535 and K. Fume, 533. Mr J. Gillespie therefore wins Dr. Adams’ shooting bag and equipment, and Mr C. Rand wins Mr W. Nye’s trophy. The Secretary states that another competition will commence almost immediately and that the ammunition is now ready for distribution to those who have earned capitation.
